Positive cases of Covid-19 have dropped significantly in the country, to less than 5 per cent, while 99 per cent of the eligible population — those aged 12 and above — have now been vaccinated, according to the ministry.

The decisions also include cancelling social distancing rules and allowing full capacity in gatherings, public places, transportations, restaurants, and cinemas.

The second worst hit country in terms of cases is India 34,889,132 infections and 481,770 deaths , followed by Brazil 22,297,427 infections and 619,401 deaths.
